GMGN Referral Code ggguide: How the Rebate Actually Works

Table of Contents

GMGN's referral program is one-sided, and the honest version of this page starts there. The commission comes out of trading fees you were already going to pay. You do not get a discount, a rebate, a bonus, or priority anything. GMGN publishes no referee benefit anywhere in its documentation, and neither does anyone else, whatever the affiliate SERPs claim.

So this page has two jobs. If you are choosing a code, you should know exactly what it does and does not do. If you are thinking about referring others, the mechanics are genuinely interesting, and the real payout numbers are public if you know where to look.

Our code is ggguide (web: https://gmgn.ai/r/ggguide, Telegram: t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_ggguide). It pays us 10% to 30% of the GMGN fees generated by anyone who signs up through it. It pays you nothing, because GMGN does not offer referred users a discount. There is no published tier table: rates above the base are negotiated by application. DefiLlama measures GMGN's actual blended payout to all referrers at 14.7% of fees all-time and 19.6% over the last 30 days.

What the Referred User Gets: Nothing

Stated plainly because the search results for this term are a mess. GMGN charges a flat 1% per transaction on the buy and again on the sell, and that number does not move for referred users. Its fee documentation describes exactly one fee and no discount mechanism at all.

The widely-quoted claim that a referral gets you 0.7% or 0.9% instead of 1% has no source. We could not find it in GMGN's documentation, its terms, or any GMGN announcement. Competing affiliate pages advertise contradictory numbers for the same program, "10% off" on one and "15% off" on another, which is roughly what you would expect from claims nobody checked.

Warning

Some third-party sites advertise "get up to 80% of your trading fees back" with a GMGN code. That is not a GMGN program. Those operators are rebating part of their own referral commission back to you out of their pocket, which makes it a private arrangement with a site you do not know, dependent on them tracking your trades and paying you voluntarily. GMGN does not run, endorse or guarantee any of it.

So the honest reason to use a code is that using one costs you nothing and rewards whoever helped you find the platform. If this site's coverage of GMGN's fees and custody model was useful, ggguide is how you say so. If it was not, use anybody's. Your terms are identical.

Getting Your Own Code

The website and the Telegram bots share one referral code, which is unusually sensible and means you do not manage two programs (source). Two ways to find yours:

1

Via the website

Log in at gmgn.ai with Connect Telegram. After the page refreshes, the value of the ref parameter in your browser's address bar is your referral code.

2

Via any trading bot

Open @gmgnaibot (GMGN's recommendation), @GMGN_sol_bot, @GMGN_bsc_bot, @GMGN_swap_bot or @GMGN_tron_bot. All of them return the same code.

3

Apply for a higher rate

Generate the code first, then submit GMGN's Google application form. The form's only stated criterion is referred trading volume.

4

Track it per chain

Commission reports live at gmgn.ai/referral with a chain parameter of sol, eth, base or tron. The Telegram sniper bot has an Invitation Rebate menu item showing invitee count and rebate income.

GMGN publishes four link shapes, and they are not interchangeable. The Telegram deep link is the one that earns across both the website and the bot, on any chain, from a single URL, which is why GMGN calls it highly recommended.

Format 1, the Telegram login deep link. Binds the code whether the user ends up trading on the web with an extension wallet or inside the bot:

https://t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_ggguide
https://t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_ggguide_{chain}_{tokenContract}

Format 2, chain-specific trading bots. For promoting one chain, or for a signal channel that posts contract addresses:

https://t.me/GMGN_sol_bot?start=i_ggguide
https://t.me/GMGN_bsc_bot?start=i_ggguide
https://t.me/GMGN_swap_bot?start=i_ggguide
https://t.me/GMGN_tron_bot?start=i_ggguide
https://t.me/GMGN_sol_bot?start=i_ggguide_c_{tokenContract}

Format 3, website links. The code binds once the user logs into Telegram on the site. Note the token and wallet page formats put the code inside the path rather than in a query string:

https://gmgn.ai/?ref=ggguide
https://gmgn.ai/?chain=sol&ref=ggguide
https://gmgn.ai/trend/ggguide?chain=sol
https://gmgn.ai/discover/ggguide?chain=sol&tab=pump_smart
https://gmgn.ai/sol/token/ggguide_{tokenContract}
https://gmgn.ai/sol/address/ggguide_{walletAddress}

The {chain} parameter accepts sol, bsc, eth, tron, base and blast.

Format 4, the short link. https://gmgn.ai/r/ggguide is not in GMGN's documentation, but it is live and it is what GMGN itself hands to partners: DefiLlama's registered referral URL for GMGN is https://gmgn.ai/r/defillama. It is the cleanest thing to put in a bio or a video description.

Tip

If you run a signal channel, format 2 with a token contract appended is the one to automate. A subscriber who taps a posted contract lands directly in the bot with the token loaded and your code bound, instead of copying a CA into a terminal they have never opened. Fewer steps between the signal and the fill means more of your posts turn into attributed trades.

The Rate: 10% to 30%, and No Published Tiers

GMGN's headline is "Earn 10% to 30% in commissions," with the rule that "the more trading volume you refer, the higher your rebate rate will be" (source).

That is the entire published rate card. There is no tier table. GMGN does not disclose what volume moves you from 10% to 15%, or from 25% to 30%. The application form says only that GMGN "provides competitive rebate rates for KOLs" and repeats the volume rule. Anyone publishing a specific GMGN tier ladder with volume thresholds attached is making it up.

What GMGN actually pays

You do not have to take the 30% on faith, because the payouts are measurable on-chain. DefiLlama tracks GMGN's referral distributions as a separate line item, and its methodology is explicit: Solana referral commissions are measured as outflows from GMGN's referral distribution wallets, while EVM referral is estimated at the measured Solana rate.

WindowUser-paid feesPaid to referrersEffective payout rate
24 hours$570,880$99,82217.5%
30 days$9,309,944$1,827,62119.6%
1 year$146,050,420$31,106,59321.3%
All time$240,126,547$35,299,84214.7%

Figures from DefiLlama's GMGN fee summary, retrieved 6 August 2026.

Two things worth pulling out. GMGN has paid $35.3 million to referrers all-time, which is a real program with real money behind it, not a marketing gesture. And the blended rate across every referrer is 14.7% all-time, 19.6% over the last 30 days. The 30% is a genuine ceiling for large negotiated accounts, and the average affiliate sits nearer the floor.

GMGN advertises up to 30% and pays a measured 14.7% all-time, 19.6% over the last 30 days, across all referrers combined. Assume you start at 10%, treat any higher rate as something you negotiate after producing volume, and do not build a plan around the ceiling. The program has paid out $35.3 million in total, so the money is real. The rate you personally get is not published anywhere.

Doing the $8,000 Math

GMGN's referral doc page is literally titled "Refer friends to earn rebate-30% rebates, easily earn over $8000 monthly," and the body promises "over 40 Sol ($8000+) monthly" from inviting your Telegram group and X followers. Treat that as the marketing it is, and run the numbers.

GMGN takes 1% of transaction value. So your commission is a percentage of a percentage:

Your rateReferred fees needed for $8,000/monthReferred trading volume needed
30% (the advertised ceiling)about $26,700about $2.7 million per month
19.6% (DefiLlama's measured 30d blend)about $40,800about $4.1 million per month
10% (the published base)$80,000about $8 million per month

For scale: GMGN's entire referral pool paid $1,827,621 over the last 30 days, across every affiliate on the platform. An $8,000 month is about 0.4% of everything GMGN distributed. Achievable for an established channel with an active trading audience. Not achievable from a link in a bio.

The realistic read is that this program pays well for people who already have distribution, and pays roughly nothing for people who do not. That is true of every crypto referral program, but GMGN's marketing copy is more enthusiastic than most about hiding it.

The Telegram Group Route

If you run a signal channel or an active trading group, this is the mechanism actually worth setting up, because it attaches your code to messages people are already clicking (source).

@GMGNAI_bot, the contract query bot. Members post a contract address, the bot replies with price, pool liquidity, insider data and token analysis, with your referral code attached to its links. It also accepts a Solana wallet address and returns 7 day PnL, realized and unrealized profit, win rate, holdings and the last five trades. Supported on ETH, Solana, Base and BSC. To attach your code, add the bot, grant admin, run /groupid to get your group ID (a negative number starting -1 or -4), and submit it through GMGN's Google form.

@Alert_GMGNBOT, the group smart money tracking bot. Pushes smart money buys over 1 SOL into your group with your code attached. Configured in-group: /set, then "+ Referral Code" and "+ Track Wallet". Solana only, with ETH and Base described as under development.

Info

Group IDs are not permanent. GMGN documents that a group ID can change from starting with -4 to starting with -1 as membership grows, which silently breaks a configuration tied to the old one. If commissions stop appearing from a group that used to produce them, re-check the ID before assuming the program broke.

There is also a share transaction profits feature, which generates PnL cards from a token page or your wallet page tabs. It is a viral loop rather than a payout mechanism: the cards spread, the referral link inside them does the earning.

What Is Not Documented

Being straight about the gaps, because they matter if you are planning around this income:

  • Payout cadence is not documented. GMGN does not publish whether commissions are paid daily, weekly or on claim.
  • There is no published minimum payout threshold.
  • Whether payment is automatic or claimed is not stated anywhere in the documentation.
  • The tier thresholds do not exist publicly. Rate negotiation happens through the form, one account at a time.

What is documented: per-chain dashboards at gmgn.ai/referral?chain=sol (also eth, base, tron), the Invitation Rebate menu in the Telegram sniper bot, and DefiLlama's observation that Solana commissions are paid out of three referral distribution wallets in SOL plus USDC, USDT and USD1.

Disclosure

This site earns money when you sign up to GMGN through our links. Code ggguide pays us a share of the trading fees you generate, somewhere in GMGN's 10% to 30% band. You receive no discount, no bonus and no benefit of any kind in exchange, because GMGN does not offer referred users one. Your fee is 1% per transaction with our code, with a competitor's code, or with no code at all.

We would rather write that sentence than the alternative. Everything else on this site (the fee breakdown, the custody analysis, the token and airdrop reality check) is worth reading precisely because we are not pretending our link is a favor to you.

If GMGN is not the right fit, GMGN vs Photon covers the main browser-terminal alternative with cited fee data rather than a feature grid.

Nothing here is financial advice. Memecoin trading is the highest-risk activity in crypto, and a referral program is not a reason to do more of it.

Getting Started

  1. Open the link. gmgn.ai/r/ggguide for the web app, or t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_ggguide if you would rather start in Telegram.
  2. Log in with Telegram, which is what binds the code and what unlocks Anti-MEV and every automation feature. Walkthrough in connect Telegram and fund your GMGN wallet.
  3. Fund the wallet with the right asset on the right network, and keep 0.05 SOL in reserve on Solana.
  4. Place a trade with how to trade on GMGN, then decide whether the automation layers, copy trading and the trenches and sniper stack, are worth their fee arithmetic.
  5. Grab your own code from the bot and, if you have an audience, apply for a higher rate through GMGN's form.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ours is ggguide. The web link is https://gmgn.ai/r/ggguide and the Telegram deep link is https://t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_ggguide. GMGN uses one code across both the website and the Telegram bots, so a single code covers every chain and both surfaces. Using ours changes nothing about your trading terms. GMGN publishes no referred-user discount of any kind.

No. GMGN's documentation describes no fee reduction, no rebate and no bonus for the referred user. The program pays the referrer a commission out of the fees you were going to pay anyway, and the fee stays 1% per transaction either way. The 0.7% and 0.9% rates advertised on some affiliate sites are unsourced, and any site offering fee cashback is rebating part of its own commission to you, which is a private arrangement with that site, not a GMGN program.

GMGN advertises 10% to 30% of the trading fees generated by referred users, with the rate rising as referred volume grows. There is no published tier table. Rates above the base are negotiated through a Google application form, and GMGN does not disclose the volume thresholds. DefiLlama's on-chain measurement of what GMGN actually pays across all referrers is 14.7% of fees all-time and 19.6% over the last 30 days, so 30% is a ceiling almost nobody reaches.

Yes, and it is the most practical route for anyone running a signal channel. Invite @GMGNAI_bot for contract lookups or @Alert_GMGNBOT for smart money alerts, grant admin permissions, then attach your referral code. The alert bot is configured in-group with /set. The contract query bot needs your group ID, retrieved with /groupid, submitted through GMGN's Google form. Trades made from links in the bot's messages then pay you commission.

It is a marketing headline from GMGN's own documentation page title, and the arithmetic sets the bar high. GMGN charges 1% per transaction, so at the 30% ceiling $8,000 a month requires about $26,700 of monthly referred fees, which is roughly $2.7 million of monthly trading volume from your referrals. At the measured blended rate closer to 20%, it is nearer $4 million a month. That is a working KOL channel, not a link in a bio.
